Gerry Eastman, guitarist, bassist, composer, and entrepreneur worked with: Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie, Etta James, and Isley Brothers. Eastman’s avant-garde Jazz, funk, and soul stylings attract fellow musicians and the jazz community to his live appearances.
Gerry’s music talents go beyond the bandstand. He founded Williamsburg Music Center 41 years ago, the only black owned jazz club in Williamsburg Brooklyn, providing an atmosphere where this art form can fully be appreciated.
Our mission at WMC is to give a platform to NYC's most talented and forward-thinking artists so they can express themselves freely. We are proud to provide our audiences with high-quality and authentic live music experiences. Hope you can join us. There's a specific artist you'd like to hear at our venue? Feel free to let us know about it...
WMC is available for private events of all kinds including music recitals, spoken-word performances, comic acts, weddings, receptions, and parties. It is an easily accessible street-level space, which can welcome up to 100 people. Please contact us for more information.
